TV3 - V8 Presenters Confirmed

February 2008

TV3 announce new V8 Hosts

Simon Doull, Roger Farrelly, Tracey Donaldson and Aaron Slight will front TV3’s exclusive coverage of the V8 Supercars, starting with the Clipsal 500 from Adelaide.

TV3 have signed a multiyear deal for the rights, which will cover 14 races per year, including the Hamilton Street Race in April and Bathurst in October.

Former international cricketer Simon Doull joins the team from the highly successful Rock radio station, where he co-hosts the Breakfast show. Doull brings with him
sport commentary knowledge from his experience as a cricket commentator and host.

His Rock Breakfast co-host Roger Farrelly is also part of TV3’s V8 team. Farrelly is an avid motor sport enthusiast and a hugely experienced broadcaster.

Like Farrelly, Tracey Donaldson, also of The Rock, combines her broadcast experience and love of all things motor sport to present the coverage.

TV3 is proud to acquire the expert knowledge of former Superbike World Champion Aaron Slight. Slight has recently dabbled in racing V8s himself, and has a list of television experience that includes the AA Torque Show, Blood, Sweat and Fears and additional sport presenting.

For most of the 14 races, at least one presenter will be on location, with the others in the TV3 studio. In some cases, two, three or even all four presenters will provide coverage from the track.
During race weekends, TV3 will provide an hour of coverage on Saturdays with qualifying highlights, behind the scenes previews and reviews, driver profiles and team news.

On Sunday afternoons, TV3 will have full coverage of races one and two in a sprint format, or race one in an endurance format. The final race will be played in full on Sunday nights at 10:30pm.

TV3 will endeavour to cover the races live where possible. However, in the interests of giving more comprehensive coverage, some races will be delayed going to air.
